The Mother Matilda Beasley Park is located on East Broad Street in downtown Savannah. The dog park was created in Spring 2008 and is maintained by the Chatham County Commissioners.

This site is very unofficial and is for the benefit of dogs and dog owners who frequent the park or those that are interested in visiting. We have no authority over the park except for our mutual interest in keeping it a vital community space.

Wag-O-Ween

Wag-O-Ween ~ it's Halloween for dogs!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Accompany your costumed dog on a trick or treat walk around historic
downtown Savannah. Numerous merchants will be giving out canine cookies.

It all begins at Canine Palace, 618 Abercorn Street
on Saturday, October 25 from 2 - 5 p.m.

Tickets are $5 per person; no charge for children under 18 yrs.
Ticket purchase gives you a map of the treat sites.

There will be refreshments, great raffle items & the opportunity to have your dog's photo taken with the Great Pumpkin. Dogs & owners are encouraged to dress for the holiday. If neither is in costume, there will be a $2 balloon purchase "surcharge."

This event is organized by St. Almo (Savannah True Animal Lovers Meeting Others) and all proceeds go to Friends of Animals, a local nonprofit that benefits several animal welfare groups.

Contact Sara Portman at 912-234-3336.
