The Mother Matilda Beasley Park is located on East Broad Street in downtown Savannah. The dog park was created in Spring 2008 and is maintained by the Chatham County Commissioners.
This site is very unofficial and is for the benefit of dogs and dog owners who frequent the park or those that are interested in visiting. We have no authority over the park except for our mutual interest in keeping it a vital community space.

Jealous Dogs Don't Play Ball
Did we need a scientist to tell us that dogs don't like being treated unfairly? I can tell by the fact that whenever I pet other dogs at the dog park, Ahab immediately comes to my side to remind me that he's number one. Maybe that's why he doesn't like to play fetch with me?

I also just read an article that scientists have finally determined that heterosexual men like young, nubile woman. Thank god for science... how would we ever know these things without this groundbreaking research?
