The Mother Matilda Beasley Park is located on East Broad Street in downtown Savannah. The dog park was created in Spring 2008 and is maintained by the Chatham County Commissioners.

This site is very unofficial and is for the benefit of dogs and dog owners who frequent the park or those that are interested in visiting. We have no authority over the park except for our mutual interest in keeping it a vital community space.

Dear Diary... It's me, Lola! 12:2:08

What the what?!
So Thanksgiving rocked! I ate turkey and all kinds of yummy stuff that the humans concocted- and when I thought no one was looking, I put my snout into Kate's luscious apple pie. (And that's not a euphemism.) On the balcony, during girl talk, I licked Alice's face and tried to sit in her lap. I know I am slightly bigger than Jack , but I think she kind of liked it anyway. Later, Ahab and I made a Ron sandwich on the couch. He let us love all up on him and it was great. Then Dan petted me under the chin, which according to him, is the best spot. I'd have to agree. I love all the humans who came over. My human and I slept soundly all night. Ahhhh... Thanksgiving.

Hi Lola! I miss you from Chicago but I'm having a rather pleasant time here. Milo sent me some snow for my birthday today so I spent the day enjoying the snow while walking down State street. Maybe you can visit, do you like snow? I miss you and your human! See you in a month!

Love,
Aunt Kelly
(only you can call me that!)

Dear Aunt Kelly,

I miss you more than I miss following my human around incessantly. I thought of you today when my human shouted for me to "SIT!" and I thought to myself, "Humph! Aunt Kelly wouldn't do that!" I wish I could come visit you in Chicago. Next time I see you, I will jump on you and lick your face.

Love,
Lola
